Harrison Ford cracks the whip one last time as the legendary hero archaeologist in the fifth installment of the iconic Indiana Jones franchise, from director James Mangold (Ford v Ferrari, Logan). A stellar cast will be joining Ford in this epic tale, including Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag), Antonio Banderas (Pain and Glory), and Mads Mikkelsen (Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore).
In 1944, a young Indiana Jones and Professor Basil Shaw (Toby Jones) are captured by the Nazis, after acquiring half of the Dial of Destiny – a sort-after artifact created by Archimedes which allows its owner to control space and time. Flash forward to the late 60s and a grumpy, old, and retiring Indiana Jones (Ford) is forced to pick up to take on the hero mantle once more with his goddaughter Helena Shaw (Waller-Bridge) to stop the two halves of the Dial falling into the wrong hands – particularly those of Jürgen Voller (Mikkelsen) who plots to control the universe.
Harrison Ford may be 80 years young, but he still carries off the role “with humour and style and still nailing that reluctant crooked smile,” alongside Waller-Bridge, who “has a tremendous co-star turn as Indy’s roguish goddaughter Helena Shaw”
